Electrolysis is the only FDA approved methods to permanently removing hair from the face and or body using electric currants to kill follicles. Most areas you would shave or wax can be treated with electrolysis including; eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, chest, legs.
Temporary redness or mild swelling may occur within the first hour and typically resolves within 72 hours.
Sometimes small pinpoint scabs happen. While this is not ideal, there will not be any permanent damage. It can be a sign that the hair follicle was over treated. Let us know if this happens so we can adjust the settings at your next appointment.
Sometimes we make over-treatment part of the care plan, specifically if there is a surgery date deadline.
Yes! it is excellent for darker skin tones because unlike laser, electrolysis does not rely on pigment, making it safe and effective for all skin tones.

Yes! We offer a special blend of numbing cream that mixes together… and makes it more effective and we will apply it for you at the start of your appointment for an additional $15. Numbing cream typically takes minimum 15 mins to become effective so it is recommended that you arrive to your appointment already having numbing cream applied so you don’t lose out on time!
Electrolysis can get where laser cant. Because electrolysis destroys the hair follicle, hair can never grow back. Also unlike Laser Electrolysis can remove light, gray, or red hair that is not treatable by laser
In general you will most likely need multiple sessions to clear an area completely of hair. The total number of sessions will vary depending on a few factors. Amount of hair, size of the area, and phase of hair.
For electrolysis to work, your hair needs to be in its growing phase (it also has resting and shedding phases).

Before Electrolysis
Prep your skin for your appointment by arriving with the area clean and free of moisturizers and products. Having a numbing cream applied is great!
During Electrolysis
You’ll feel a quick, sharp sting or temporary warmth as each follicle is treated. it can feel akin to a tattoo. How much the process hurts depends on how you react to pain and the area being treated.
Once your appointment is finished your technician will wipe the area with a soothing warm towel and apply hydrocortisone cream to help reduce irritation.
After Electrolysis
You might notice some small raised bumps or irritation in the treatment area. You should avoid activities for the first 48-72 hours that can cause further irritation such as
- sweating
- a lot of sun exposure
- tanning
- putting makeup or heavy products on the area
